Lindstrøm And Prins Thomas’ Genre-Defining Nordic Disco Debut Gets Triple Vinyl Reissue

ff

The Norse gods of disco have their debut collaboration reissued.

Before Todd Terje there was Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas. Laying the foundations for the playful cosmic disco of Terje’s ‘Inspector Norse’ and the soundtrack to practically every summer beach party ever since, Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas’ self-titled debut LP is getting the full reissue treatment ten years after it was initially released courtesy of Belgium’s Eskimo Recordings.

The original Nordic disco manifesto, the thirteen track opus has been packed up as a triple heavyweight vinyl release, with a bonus 7″ featuring two unreleased tracks thrown in.

It follows the release of Prins Thomas’ epic Paradise Goulash trilogy of mixes, released earlier this month.

Underground Resistance Slices Video

Underground Resistance are the most militantly political outcropping of modern Detroit techno, with a grungy, four-track musical aesthetic and a strictly anti-mainstream business strategy. They have exerted their portion of Detroit Techno’s cultural influence towards promoting political activism. Always Heard Rarely Seen; cast an eye on our Underground Resistance video, taken from Slices Issue 3-06.

Next on EPM Music Esteban Adame with two exclusive remixes from Underground Resistance.

Prins Thomas very, very limited edition tins

Prins Thomas Knows What’s Cooking

What a tin it is. And what musical treats it contains within! Three discs — crammed onto one USB in this instance — worth of mindbending oddities and eclectic obscurities, the kind of stash of super rare, super weird records that fills you with both joy (these records are incredible!) envy (I wish I’d found them!) and sadness (I’ll never find really cool old strange balearo-scando-disco stuff like this on my own!) before zipping back round to joy again.

You can buy the trio vinyl set — and if you’re quick enough, one of the very, very limited edition tins — from all good retailers now, but if you need a little taster — geddit!? — before you get some cash out of an ATM, why not listen to this gorgeously compact super mini mix that Prins has put together?
