2026 sees Robert Hood going back to his minimal techno roots with remastered releases from his ground-breaking label, M-Plant.

Throughout this year the Perpetual Masters series has been dropping one track per week, digitally, from Hood’s extensive catalogue with remastering by legendary German producer, Thomas Heckmann. A whole wave of these remastered tracks are also being reissued on vinyl.

“Psychic / Pole Position” is a classic which features his stripped-back minimal techno style that helped define the sound in the late ’90s. Both tracks are built around hypnotic rhythms and sparse, precise grooves characteristic of Hood’s influential production ethos. Originally released in 1999, the EP reflects Hood’s focus on minimalist electronic structures and dance floor functionality, and has remained a sought-after piece among fans of the genre.

Originally released in 1999 on the Duet imprint, “Sophisticcato” stands as a concise but potent example of his late-’90s minimal techno philosophy. Built around four tracks, including the title cut, “The First Night” and two versions of “Cobra Seed”, the record features his signature approach with stripped-back drum patterns and hypnotic loops that prioritise rhythm over unnecessary embellishment. Lean and functional, with subtle shifts, it represents Hood’s belief that minimal elements, precisely arranged, can achieve maximum impact on the dance floor.

His “Spectra” EP, originally released in 2001, stands as a defining example of his stripped-back, conceptual approach to techno. It sees Robert Hood operating at his most stripped-down and hypnotic, built from tightly looped drum patterns and shadowy synth fragments that slowly evolve. Hood’s precision is evident in every detail, as he balances repetition with crisp percussion and a tightly controlled groove.

Invincible“, originally released in 2001, stands as another defining example of his stripped-back, approach to Techno while still radiating tough funk and groove. Released during a period when Hood was refining the minimalist aesthetic he helped pioneer, the record balances mechanical precision with emotional intensity. The tracks unfold through subtle shifts in percussion, looping synth patterns and driving bass lines, to create a meditative momentum that sounds just as fresh today. “Invincible” draws its power from restraint, demonstrating Hood’s belief that minimal elements can produce maximum impact on the dance floor.

More deep, immersive and hard-hitting minimal techno from the master coming soon!

The Trip To Vega: A deep outer space odyssey. Jeff Mills releases new album.

Jeff Mills returns with a new solo album.

“The Trip To Vega” is about a deep outer space odyssey that occurs in the process of traveling from Earth through the Cosmos to another “favorable” star system 25.3 light-years away. The time is year 2097, Sept 23rd. Earth’s physicality has changed – it is no longer favorable for living things.

The constant shifting of the planet’s internal tectonic plates has produced an extraordinary amount of sound including a specific harmonic frequency that erodes the natural senses of all life on Earth. It is intensifying. It is intolerable. It is unlivable. A decision has been made, and a Trip To Vega is the consequence.

Eleven tracks across three discs, with production choices that serve the concept throughout. No drum machine was used. Individual percussion sounds are intricately placed to perceive the presence of a drum instrument. The typical three acoustic ranges were dropped a notch: the album mainly uses mid, low and subsonic frequencies, referring to the story that Earth’s dangerous sound effects had already affected most humans and their ability to hear hi frequencies. The album is directed mainly at today’s younger generation – the one that, if lived a healthy life, could live to reach 2097.

The Trip To Vega is released on Axis Records on June 19, 2026.

Welcome to PHAAAR

No-frills high octane techno.

Phaaar is the label of Belgian techno mainstay Phara, founded in 2021 and built as an outlet for his raw, analogue productions. Fast-paced, stripped back and uncompromising floor tools.

His credentials speak for themselves: a debut album on Black Sun Records, followed by EPs on Soma, SK Eleven, Stockholm LTD, Planet Rhythm and Token, and a residency at Fuse in Brussels that has grown into a well-travelled booking schedule taking him to the floors of Berghain and beyond.

His vinyl-only DJ sets navigate fast rhythms, industrial atmospheres and dubbed-out pulses. In 2022 he debuted a live show built entirely around the Korg EMX-1, and in 2024 he introduced a second live project, In Glass, exploring slower and more spacious territory. Phaaar remains the constant: a direct, unfiltered outlet for his own output.

Psyk & Orbe unveil “Temporal Rift LP”, the definitive statement of their collaborative vision of hypnotic techno.

After years of sustained studio work, sonic research, and conceptual exploration, this album stands as the definitive consolidation of their collaborative project.

Born from the dialogue between two distinct yet complementary visions of techno — Orbe’s futuristic and immersive atmospheres, and Psyk’s hypnotic depth, stripped-back minimalism — the record unfolds as a carefully sculpted sonic journey. Tension, space, and texture take center stage, shaping an evolving narrative that progresses seamlessly from track to track.

More than a collection of individual cuts, the album embodies a cohesive and mature concept: a shared identity refined through countless hours of studio experimentation, critical listening, and synthesis. Here, the core essence of the project crystallizes — a point of convergence between atmosphere and impact, abstraction and functionality, introspection and raw dancefloor energy.

This release not only marks the culmination of an intensive creative cycle, but also signals the beginning of a new phase in their ongoing exploration of techno’s expressive potential.
