Rocha: a/ Feel the Love
(Greg Wilson Version)
b/ Feel the Love
(Welcome Stranger’s Creation Dub)

DESCRIPTION

The band that launched the label are back. After the triumphant success of ‘Hands of Love’ the two quiet architecture students from Punta Del Este return from a summer slaving away in the studio, to bring you ’Feel the Love’ and the ultra deep ‘Night Music’.

Split over two vinyl’s to ensure maximum sonic quality and complete with beautiful hand drawn illustrations from Yuko Kondo (directed as ever by our own Peter Saville, Phantom), it picks up where ‘Hands of Love’ left off – proper Balearic music brimming full of melody and atmosphere (and a mini portion of cheese), their trademark pianos and this time a full vocal and a Larry Heard inspired bass line as well.

Stepping up to the remix plate, we have Mr Greg Wilson, a bona fide global edit institution and guarantee of quality. He’s taken the original and turned up the seduction factor by one million and, in his own words, ‘squeezed that extra bit of love juice out of it’. We also have Thomas Bullock esq. (as Welcome Stranger) who’s turned in an abstract gem that works equally on the dancefloor or your IPod headphones - it’ll amaze everyone who hears it with its hypnotic power and beauty. And finally we have Tiger Sushi superstar Joakim, adding his warm, tech-y vibes to the melting pot.

But lets not forget ‘Night Music’ – we think this is one of the best tracks we’ve released so far – its deep, cerebral, groovy and atmospheric all at the same time – a possible blueprint and enticing insight into Rocha’s future.

Well, that marks the end of our busy summer release schedule and the third and final part of our ‘Summer Balearic Trilogy’.
(Although we will be back in July at some point to promo the second installment of Mr Harvey Bassett’s sonic adventures.)
